The Lake Lillian Trail climbs through private land on a road and a clear-cut trail to the forested upper slopes of Mt. Margaret. Skirt the peak, drop down to Twin Lakes, and continue on challenging terrain to Lake Lillian in a bowl under Rampart Ridge. A side trail leads to Lake Margaret, and you can extend the trip with a scramble to Mt. Margaret's summit, or up a spur of Rampart Ridge above Lake Lillian for tremendous views.
